From neighborhood public schools to CUNY classrooms, generations of Bronx families have built better futures through public education. Karinés is fighting to fully fund Foundation Aid for K–12 and pass the New Deal for CUNY, so every student gets the teachers, counselors, and tuition relief they deserve.

Too many longtime residents are being priced out of the neighborhoods they built. Karinés works to protect tenants, hold negligent landlords accountable, and push Albany to invest in the kind of housing stock that keeps working families here.

As a nurse, Karinés has seen firsthand how ZIP code and income determine the quality of care people receive. She sits on the Assembly Health Committee and uses that seat to push for healthcare that works for patients, not just insurance companies.

The 87th District is home to thousands of immigrants who work hard, pay taxes, and contribute to this community every day. Karinés believes they deserve stability, dignity, and a fair shot, and she's fighting for legislation that reflects that.
